Inks Lake Mini Album

I shared this on the <a href="http://paper-wings-productions.blogspot.com/2015/01/stamped-washi-tape-mini-album.html">Paper Wings Productions blog</a> last week, it was my last post for them. I love their stamps, but I've just decided I needed to take a break. ;)</div>

I created this mini album using photos from our camping trip to Inks Lake state park and Longhorn Caverns.</div>

It was an older American Crafts album but I didn't like the pattern on it anymore so I covered it with some red Hazel and Ruby tissue paper and added a strip of stamped patterned paper + letter stickers to the cover.</div>

I wanted to embellish it with some scalloped washi tape I had (also by Hazel and Ruby) but I decided the tapes were a bit plain for what I wanted and so I grabbed my stamps and embellished them! I used the Earth and Sky Melange stamp set with stazon inks<br/>

Here are my pages. When I make mini albums I actually like to keep the pages fairly simple, with just a few embellishments so that the photos are the focus point.<br/>

I also stamped the inside of the album cover.<br/>

DIY Stamped Fabric

For my card I used these stamp sets- Home Tweet Home, Holiday Tags, Build a Scene and Script - to create this cheery Christmas card. While my stamped scene isn't gold, I added a lot of gold around it with stamping and embellishments to give it a bit of bling!</div>

I started by combining different stamps to create the Christmas scene below. It's sort of become a personal goal/challenge to see how many different scenes I can create with this adorable house stamp. So far I've done<a href="../../2014/10/pwp-october-blog-hop.html"> Halloween</a>, <a href="../../2014/11/autumn-cards-for-pwp.html">Fall </a>and this Christmas scene.</div>

Once I had my scene finished, I created the card base. I stamped the script stamp using gold ink. I also stamped a tag (using the Holiday Tags stamp set) with gold and black ink and attached it with a gold glitter clothespin. I also added a few gold sequins.</div>

Here's my card inspired by the challenge. I just love that adorable little bird stamp from the Holiday Tags stamp set. I think he's just the<i> tweetest</i> little bird! I stamped him a bunch onto some paper and then colored the little birdies in with my copic and prismacolor markers!</div>

Garden of the Gods Mini Album at PWP

I actually experimented with a new binding technique for this mini album, as you can see in the photo above!</div>

I was chain stitching the patterned papers down onto the cardstock pages of my mini album, not bothering to cut them apart while I was stitching them and when I was done I ended up with all of them stitched together like above. Sort of like a sewn accordion album!</div>

Here are all of my pages, in a collage. I did a lot of stamping along the edges of my mini album, and I stamped out the title on my front cover, keeping it simple so that the title really stands out.</div>
