Tea Mini Quilt
My Mom has a ton of quilt and crochet books that I flip through every now and then for some inspiration. I love making fabric postcards, and I found the book Clever Banners, Panels and Postcards by Mary Mayne. Instead of making a postcard, I decided to use some of the designs in the book to create a little mini quilt.
If you're a regular reader, you may know that I'm a real tea junkie. I don't like coffee, but I love tea. So, when I saw the designs in the book I was excited. I've got my new mini quilt hanging up above my little "tea bar."
The blocks are 5" each, so the quilt is pretty small. I appliqued on the designs and then free motioned around them.
If you like mini quilts, check out the book Clever Banners, Panels and Postcards. There are some really cute designs. :)

i {heart} your tea quilt! Love the design for a tea swap card in which 20 cardmaking tea drinkers, more or less, participate each month. It's easy b/c you only make 1 card w/ 2 teas to swap; it's international; & originates in Hawaii. Mahalo for sharing your quilt.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt! I am a quilter too, before papercrafting took over!
