She said yes! Wedding DIYs are on the way!

That's right! This year, Punk Projects will be venturing into the glitzy and flower-filled world of wedding diys and tutorials. I'm Taylor, Katie's sister, and occasional contributor to the blog. I'm getting married this year, and Katie and I are teaming up to DIY my wedding and bring you amazing tutorials along the way!

Here are a few of the things we'll be doing...

Color and Style
I'm getting married on Thanksgiving day, so the color scheme needs to be autumn + meets holiday + meets style of the venue. This is going to be tricky! Here are the colors I have in mind:

The venue is a 1929 Spanish Colonial Revival Ranch House, with a bit of Mediterranean thrown in and it's Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. It's also in Arizona, so the style of the wedding has a bit of a Southwest flair. Here's a few photos of the venue:

Finally, we're assembling a list of DIYs that we'll be sharing tutorials for. It's turning out to be quite a long list (which means I'm on the hunt for the perfect planner book to put all my wedding lists, photos, and ideas into*).

A sneak peek at the list of WEDDING DIYS we're looking forward to making and blogging about at Punk Projects in 2016:

  • To die for cute signs such as...Cards & Gifts sign, card box, and direction signs for the venue
  • Cake table decorations
  • Invitations
  • Kids' wedding day color book and other activities
  • Wedding bouquets! (We've never done flower arranging before, but we'll be trying it this year)
  • Wedding arch, chair covers, and day-of-decorations

With Katie's DIY expertise, I am so excited and confident that this wedding will be so beautiful.

*Can anyone recommend a super cute wedding planning book??

  1. Take a look at Pretty Organised on Etsy! Caylee has the perfect wedding planning book with colored florals. The venue looks amazing!

I love your comments!
