Scrapbooking and Scraplifting

Today I wanted to share with you guys this fun layout that I shared on the rukristin blog earlier this week.
As you know I went on an epic road trip (10 states!) this Summer, which means tons of pictures to scrapbook, so you'll be seeing more layouts here on the blog.

I saw my first bear (actually, we saw three, in three different places), and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a picture of those stinkers. This was my BEST shot. The other 2 bears we saw while driving and I didn't have my camera ready.

This layout is a scraplift inspired by a page I found on pinterest created by Rachel Denbow. I love using pinterest to find scrapbooking inspiration. There is so much out there.

I used a simple cream colored card stock for the base, so that all my embellishments and bright color scheme stood out without being chaotic. I also used the "Together is Best" kit by Freckled Fawn (love the colors!!) with random scraps and stickers from my own stash as well as some rukristin stamps.

I stamped the simple circle stamp from the Currently List clear stamp set on a couple of different patterned papers, then chopped them in half because I liked the look.

You can read a bit more about my process for this layout on Kristin's blog.

Have you ever seen a bear??

  1. Love the layout! I have seen a bear, up close and personal, on a camping trip. It was about six feet from us, a big ole black bear. Quite scary at the time, but pretty cool now. It had zero interest in us (and all our food was stashed away in the Jeep) so it wandered off quickly. The rangers had warned about one hanging out in the camping area, and the next day they caught and relocated it on the mountain!

I love your comments!
