Galaxy/Moon Art Journal

I saw the quote "Don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footsteps on the moon" on pinterest and loved it. I love anything space/galaxy themed so I decided to use this quote in my art journal for a space themed page.

The "planets" were actually a page in a sketchpad showing examples of different mediums. I adhered the page into my journal and turned them into planets. I also had a moon stamp which was just perfect for this page.

The background is made using gesso + a stencil to add a little texture and then gone over with purple, black and metallic mint gelatos to add color.

I've been trying to spend more time playing in my journal. It's a great way to save my favorite quotes and write down thoughts.

  1. That so cool how you used pages that you tested mediums on for the planets (you would never know that by looking at them)! I also love the whole layout and color scheme you chose :)

  2. Fabulous! Love the colors, and that is a great quote.

I love your comments!
