Daydream Art Journal Page

This weeks challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog is "Patchwork". I was inspired by that for the right side of this journal page. I used strips of Gelli printed papers and patterned paper, I went over it with gesso. I sketched the heart with a pencil, and around the outside of it I colored over it with blue gelato. I went around the inside of the heart with pink gelato. For the patchwork part, I just took a black marker and sketched out stitches to make it looks like a quilt.

For the left side, I brushed matte medium over the page and once that was dry I just played with messy colors- gelatos, Mister Huey spray ink, etc. I love playing with messy mediums.

For the girl on the left page, I used my new Montana Sahara Beige marker. I'm so happy to have finally found a good beige marker.
