Document Life Workshop- What I Like About You

Today's challenge at Document Life Workshop is "What I Like About You..." I knew I wanted to use a photo of my Mom and I but I also wanted to play in my art journal, so this is sorta a scrapbook layout/art journal hybrid.

For the background, I started with gelli prints- I just glued the right side down, but I cut the left one up into strips and staggered them. Then I added a bit of hot pink gelato around the edges. A few scrapbooking embellishments, outlining with gesso, washi tape, doodling and journaling and I was done. Oh, and a few drops of gold Heidi Swapp mist.

Have you played in your art journal page lately? do you ever use photos in your art journal?

  2. This is awesome! I really need to get more patient and start playing with more wet materials.

  3. I have been so busy with work, that I haven't art journaled in a while. I had to go out the other day and replace all my paintbrushes though. I left them in a cup of water and the water dried up :P Since I don't scrapbook anymore, I do like to include photos in my art journal.
