Quilt Inspired Layout- Prism

This week I'm doing layouts and cards inspired by different quilts. Search quilts on pinterest if you're looking for a bit of inspiration. There are so many different cute patterns.

This is a quilt my Mom is currently working on, (Not my best picture of it though, a bit overexposed..) It's called "Prism" and I think it's totally awesome. I decided to try and recreate it on a layout.

It turned out pretty good, I think. I turned it on it's side, and just used pinks, greens, yellows and blues. Black is not a color I usually use as a background so this was a challenge for me, but I like it. :)
There were a lot of little paper pieces involved in making this! I cut out a ton of diamond shapes from paper, cut those up into 4 sections and then rearranged them all. I used a tiny bit of glue to adhere them and then I stitched around them.

Also, If you noticed the Star Trek quote on my layout, (and heard it in Data's voice) you rock. :)
