Back-to-School Notebooks: Felt Pocket Notebook

Since all those back to school supplies are on sale right now, I found a whole bunch of notebooks for only 8 cents! So, of course I stocked up on notebooks, and I decorated a few of them which I will be blogging about for the next few days.
This first notebook stitched a felt pocket to the front to hold pencils.
 1. Glue patterned paper to the front cover of your notebook. 2. Cut a 7.5"x4" piece of felt. (or a different measurement that fits your notebook. 3. Stitch the felt to the cover of the notebook, sewing the sides and bottom. Leave the top open so that you can slide your pencils in there! 4. Stitch a couple of lines going down your felt to create small space for your pencils to fit snugly in.
Do you love empty notebooks as much as I do?? They are like a blank canvas just waiting to be written/doodled in.

  1. It looks very nice. Great idea. How did you stitch it? Using machine or by hand?

    1. Thank you! I stitched it on the machine, but you could also sew it by hand.
