Restyle a Scrapbook with Glitter

A friend recently gave a bunch of old scrapbooking stuff she's had laying around for a while. Most of it is perfectly good supplies, just out dated. For example, this scrapbook.
There's nothing wrong with it, but the pattern on the cover just isn't my style. So Taylor and I came up with the idea to recover it using glitter.

Supplies: Old Scrapbook, Modge Podge, Glitter, Paint, Paintbrush
 1. Cover the outside with paint. You might have to apply more than 1 coat, depending on the color of paint you are using. Let dry.
2. In a cup, mix Modge Podge and Glitter together. I used about half and half.
3. Paint it onto your scrapbook, the modge podge will become clear as it dries. You might want to apply more than 1 coat of this as well. I did 2 coats.
Here's a picture of it once it has dried:
Super sparkly.
Have you ever restyled a scrapbook, or other supplies?
