Create a Recycled Touchy-Feely Board for your Little One!

I'm so excited to be here today on Punk Projects! My name is Jamie and I blog over at The Letter 4.
Our blog is a place where my sisters and I share projects, outfits, tips, art, whatever! We have a What I Wore Link up every Wednesday where you can share your outfit related posts with us too!
Today I wanted to share with you an idea I had that not only is great because you are recycling, it also keeps the little ones entertained...
Meet the touchy feely board.
If I need to get something done that second when my daughter just happens to, at the same time, NEED me for some reason, I pull out the touchy feely board.
It's a fun project for her and I because as I find more things to add to it, I'll glue it on, give it to her to play with, and then later find something else to put on. So there's constantly something new for her to discover on it.
So to start I bought a foam display board at Hobby Lobby for 50 cents. I drew a basic drawing on it (I know it's not the cutest thing in the world but I figured the point was to feel it not just look at it!)
Then I cut out things in the shapes that I needed and hot glued them on.
Simple enough right?
All of these things I just found around the house!
It's got ribbon, felt, a zipper, rope, sponges, a CD, buttons,
ribbed cardboard, sandpaper, fabric, and more.
My daughter LOVES the CD because she loves to look at herself in the mirror.
So their is a cheap way to keep your little ones entertained during your busy days!
WARNING! The only thing I want to stress about this project is do not be shy with the hot glue! Those little hands like to pry things off, and also do not stick anything on that can be popped off and put into their mouth! I was a little worried about my two little buttons so I tried to pry them off but those guys are not coming off. I glued them like crazy to felt so I think I'm good.
Stop by our blog and say hi! Or you can visit us on our Facebook Page!
Thanks for having us on your fabulous blog today Katie!!!
xoxo, Jamie

Note from Katie-- Thank you Jamie! This is a wonderful Recycling Project for the little ones!
