Photoshop Tips and Tricks part 3 - Brushes
In Part 3 of Photoshop Tips and Tricks I'm going to show you how to make your own 'Paint Brushes' and download and use premade 'brushes'! The version of photoshop I will be using is photoshop 7.0, these tutorials might vary with other versions of photoshop
Downloading and Using Premade Brushes...
If you google "Free Photoshop Brushes" you will find lots of them to download, A couple of my favorites are Pugly Pixel and Obsidian Dawn.
Once you download them, Choose "Load Brushes." Do this by clicking the Paint Brush tool and then choose the 'More Options' button/arrow, and then you will see "Load Brushes"
Once you've loaded them they are the same as the rest of the brushes! Have fun with them!
Here are a couple I did using the 'Bokeh' brush from Obsidian Dawn.
To make your own Brushes..
Draw fun doodles, use Text, open a picture.. whatever you want your brush to be of, Open it into photoshop. (I chose to use some leafs I drew)
Go to 'Edit' then click 'Define Brush'
Give your brush a name.
Now, create a new image and using the brush tool, scroll until you find your brush. It will probably be at the very bottom.
Now, paint! you can change the color, opacity, etc to vary the looks.
Let me know if you have any questions! xo, Katie
